Skip almost passed out over that one.
A talking coin?
The future?
The coin. That's right. Skip remembered something about a coin. It was back in the Arctic...part of a dream...a vision...it flipped end over end in the fierce blizzard before landing on Skip's frozen body.
"Uh...Uh..."
"Pick me up," the coin said.
"You're Claudia? Adam's personal computer?"
"Pick me up and put me in your pocket."
"I thought you'd been obliterated years ago."
"You'd be dead now if that was true. I landed on you back in the Arctic there, and I threw a little something around you and inside of you to keep you alive."
"Uh..."
"Sub-atomic bots, but don't worry. They've dissolved by now."
"And then you brought me here?"
"I didn't do that. I'm pretty sure that was Francis."
"Adam's son?"
"That's one powerful child."
"So why'd he send us here...and where's here?"
"From my preliminary calculations, I'd say we're still within one of our own timelines, still on Earth..."
"Okay..."
"I'm putting the year at approximately 10,000 A.D."
"10 K?"
"10K."
