Adam Forwarder aimed a blaster at one of the walls of the cube-cage he floated in and pulled the trigger.

The cage took the force of the blast, but vibrated violently.

     It didn't come apart, though.

Okay, fine, he thought. Now I'm happy I brought along the sonic bazooka.

He aimed it at the cage and fired.

     KAWAWAWAWAWAWAWA!

The cage vibrated a second time, and this time it seemed, for a moment, as if it weakened.

Good sign, Adam thought. I wonder how many blasts I can get out of this bazooka, anyway?

     Only way to find out.

He aimed the bazooka at the silver cage a second time and pulled the trigger.

     KAWAWAWAWAWAWAWA!

     Again, the cage weakened, but...

He squeezed the trigger a third time.

     KAWAWAWAWAWAWAWA!

It seemed to Adam that the cage weakened still further, but there didn't seem to be as much juice in the sonic bazooka that time, either.

He pulled a blaster from one of his holsters.

Let's see how well this works, he thought.

     KWAMM!

     That did it.

The cage popped like a bubble.

Adam dropped fifty stories for the feet of the three towering giants.

He fell against, then slid down, Mother Naturia's leg. He used her foot to slide out on to the ice rather than slam into it.

He slid hundreds of feet away from the three of them. Good thing. He didn't want to get stepped on.

He saw Abby and her family huddled half a mile away.

     He started for them.

     "Bye," he said.

When going into battle, he liked the edge invisibility gave him.
