Those who didn't escape from Hrm's Hive, client or employee, were doomed to die within it.
Delphi watched people murdered and overwhelmed by swarms of bees on several of his monitors.
On one monitor, he watched a schlictle, a creature that most resembled a giraffe on two legs, galumph down the hall. A bee stung him, knocking him out immediately. A swarm of bees then coated him until Delph could no longer see the schlictle's body.
How had it come to this so quickly?
"I'm sending reinforcements," PhlaPhla told him.
"Do not," Delphi replied. "This is something I will deal with on my own."
"Not an option. You are no longer in a strong enough mental or emotional state to handle the position you have been granted. We of the egri have decided we're taking Hrrm's Hive from you. We will be there in thirty seconds."
"You come anywhere near Hrrm's Hive, and I will have my defensive forces blow you to pieces."
"You can't mean that."
"The Azurian child is mine."
