Trevor watched Niki turn visible while moving like a bat out of a literal Hell, then plummet for the unforgiving ice below.

Trevor caught her long before she hit, then lowered her to the ice. His uniform came with a visor, so he wasn't blinded by the snow, but there was so much of it. The fierce wind just about blew him off his feet.

And he felt overcome by that fucking black beam. He wanted to vomit, Pure Destructive Evil swept over him with such a strength.

The beam emitted evil so strong it was like a scream.

Plus, it was so fucking huge. When Trevor looked in a certain direction, all he could see was the beam.

He looked up. Although indistinct through all the swirling snow, Trevor still saw two jumbo jet sized birds winging overhead, Technolica and Mother Naturia, they, themselves, too, once again out of the beam.

A silvery essence surrounded and traveled with them.

     Silveria.

Then, Trevor saw something truly jaw dropping on this already very jaw dropping day.

It emerged from the black, black beam to hover in the sky, and it, too, was every bit as black black as the black beam.

A shroud? That's what it reminded Trevor of, a black, billowing shroud or sheet.

And at each corner of this shroud?

     Heads.

Holy motherfucking shit, Trevor thought. That's The Fours right there.

The shroud enveloped the birds that were Technolica and Mother Naturia, as well as the silvery shimmer that was Silveria.

Then, all of that turned into a bird.

That huge bird before that was actually three entities in one, the bird Niki'd chased all the way to the beam?

The bird that now filled the sky looked twice that big.

It took on the coloration of Technolica, Mother Naturia, and Silveria, but, mainly, it's color was...well, you know.

Without a glance in any direction, the bird flew in the direction of Adam and the others.

It broke the sound barrier, it moved so fast.

     "Trevor?" Niki muttered. "That you?"

"The bird's going back after Adam."

     "What bird?"

     "There's a new bird. It's bigger."

     "You going after it?"

     "Got to. You coming?"

"Got to. I can't see, though. My vision's coming back, but..."

     "Grab my shoulder. I'll lead."

"Sweet. I want to get as far away from this fucking beam as I can."
