Four guards caught Tika just as she was about to drop back into The Cellars.

Delphi studied the young woman, now without the blue blanket.

She was an eleven year old child, yes.

     She was also all muscle.

She'd shaved off whatever hair grew on her skull.

She wore slippers rather than shoes. The simple clothes she wore hung loose on her frame yet would never impede any move she might make.

And then there was the weapon she'd stolen.

She wore it on her wrist.

If you didn't know what it was, you'd think it was some sort of bracelet.

     "Get her!" Delphi commanded.

Tika kicked the inside of one guard's knee so that the guard collapsed. As he did, Tika elbowed him in the neck. Before the guard had a chance to recover from all of that, Tika snatched the blaster out of his hand.

She aimed it at the guard's heart and pulled the trigger.

Tika then used the blaster she held to put a hole in the second guard's skull.

She twisted, giving herself enough momentum to kick the third guard in the nuts so hard he could not possibly think of anything else for a full two seconds.

The fourth guard aimed his blaster at Tika even as she aimed hers at him. She beat him to the punch in terms of pulling a trigger. The blast pierced his belly but didn't kill him.

Tika turned back to guard number three, the one who'd taken a kick to the balls, to twist his neck until it snapped. Tika snatched the weapon he held to put a hole through the fourth guard right above where she'd gotten him before.

Which is to say, she blasted a hole through his heart.

Tika lifted a flap from the floor, a hidden entrance to The Cellars.

She dropped down the hole and disappeared.

Other guards were there within seconds.

     Still, too late.

     "After her!" Delphi commanded.

"But Sir! The Cellars! She could be..."

     "Find her and kill her!"

His guards hurried to comply. They'd never heard an egri's voice sound hysterical before.
