She stomped on him. She stomped on anything that could possibly be Adam Forwarder. Anything liquid. Certainly anything remotely solid. She jackhammered what was left of Adam Forwarder into the glassy, nuclear blasted ground. She didn't stop until there wasn't a single speck of Adam Forwarder left.
She tried to sense him, then. She tried to sense him in the same way she had when she'd first landed on Earth. She got no sense of him whatsoever, and here she stood right on top of him.
She'd done it. She'd just become the most accomplished assassin in Infini. She'd just murdered the supposedly immortal Adam Forwarder.
The Coal-Maiden roared her victory into Earth's sky.
Then off she went. Only Gramps saw her leave. One moment she was there, the next moment she was gone, flying home after a job well done.
She left behind only Gramps, what was left of the shelter, and the decapitated body of Katy Armstrong.
