"Brock!" Noel barked into his com. "I'm not getting Shawnacy! She's in trouble! Find her!"

Brock was out of their hovering van and into open sky before he gave himself a chance to think about what he was doing. He hadn't come anywhere near regaining his strength...

...but he heard that Shawnacy was in trouble...

...so he acted before he thought.

     He spotted them immediately.

The Silver Scorpion had just about flown herself and Nacy back to ground level. Just before she landed, Belle pitched Nacy hard so she didn't just hit the street but slammed into it.

Even fifty feet above them and moving in fast, Brock thought he actually heard her skull crack on that hard asphalt.

And that's all it took for him.

He got there as fast as his azure energy could take him.

Only problem was, once he got there, he kind of ran out of "juice". He didn't land so much as he crashed. His wheelchair skidded away from him. He rolled in the street until his body came up against Nacy's.

Shawnacy, on her stomach, was way too still. Her face was nothing but blood due to a gash on her forehead.

     "Nacy!" Brock yelled.

She opened her eyes. The white and blue of them drew a sharp contrast against all that blood on her face. Her eyes pleaded, get me out of this, Brock. Help me, please.

The Silver Scorpion stood over the two of them. Her thick, metal tail swung all around as if it wanted to pat its master on the back.

"I love this so much," Belle said. "I get to kill you both now." She pointed at Brock. "I'll kill you quick," she told him. "I'll get you while you're weak."

Brock used all the azure energy he had left in him to send a crackling blast Belle's way. It turned out to be only slightly stronger than static electricity. It had no effect on Belle whatsoever.

Belle held back her head and laughed into the sky.

     While directly over her head...
