Skip and Cathy sat in a starship that, at present, orbited the Earth.

     Cloaked.

They'd been living in that starship for a year.

It was the best Gramps could do to hide and protect his family.

It was a starship Gramps'd requisitioned from the Azure, a starship large enough for his family to live in comfortably, and, more importantly, that had a security system so advanced it could detect a threat, then transport the starship and its occupants to a safer place instantaneously, whether that other place be at the center of a star or another dimension.

It was also a starship loaded with defensive weaponry.

Cathy and Skip called it Janet because the onboard computer had a female voice.

The second Gramps' face disappeared from the communication screen, Skip turned to Cathy. "What is it we're supposed to do again?"

     Cathy sighed.

     "Drop," she said.
