Adam stumbled across the floor to the console he needed to attach Claudia's transmitter to. His mind slowly cleared, in spite of the immense pain he felt. The console was only four feet away now. three, two...Even as he reached up to attach the transmitter, Adam heard CLANK! CLANK! Centurian on his way to attack him anew.
"I WON'T LET YOU DOWN, VALTAIR!" he bellowed. "I'M NOT A DISLOYAL COWARD LIKE AXEL! YOU SHOULD HAVE COME TO ME IN THE FIRST PLACE! AXEL HASN'T GOT WHAT IT TAKES TO BE THIS POWERFUL! HE'LL ALWAYS BE WEAK! I'M GLAD I CRIPPLED HIM! HE DESERVES..."
Alacran smacked him so hard in the skull, Centurian's helmet cracked. The blow knocked him completely off his feet. Now it was Alacran's turn to bellow.
"YOU RUINED MY LIFE! HELL COULDN'T BE WORSE THAN THE LIFE YOU MADE FOR ME!" He beat on Centurian with his tail and both fists. "I NEVER WANTED THIS! I NEVER WANTED ANY OF THIS!"
Adam slapped the transmitter to the side of the console.
"Got it?" he asked Claudia.
"Exactly what I needed. Thanks, Adam. Now it should only take a couple...there."
"You're..."
"I've got control of the missiles. In fact, I've got control of the entire building."
"Good. Get me together with a Stargod, Claudia. We need to get back to Katy and the compound."
"I'm right with you, Buddy."
