Tika started down the hall in Delphi's direction.

A guard appeared on either side of her.

     Fully armed and armored.

One of the guards aimed a rifle in Tika's direction the moment he sensed her and pulled the trigger.

She'd taken a laser blade from one of the soldiers she'd already killed.

She used it to slice the guard's hand from the rest of his body.

The blast from the rifle went crazy, blasting a hole in the wall.

The other guard's blast ripped through empty air, missing Tika by inches.

     She leaped and twisted.

She removed the guard's head with a single swipe from her laser knife.

She dropped lightly and in perfect balance back to her feet.

     She continued in Delphi's direction.
