The replacers blasted at the outside of Gramps and Abby's house with artillery fire. They fired so relentlessly that they'd at last made a hole in the side of the house for replacers to slip through. The din was incredible.

And then they started coming in.

     The replacers.

If left unchallenged, they would fill the house within minutes.

     Their only obstacle: Abby.

She stood at the end of the first floor hallway. She held a grenade rifle, only this grenade rifle was designed by the Azure, so it was far advanced in comparison to weapons any Earth army uses now.

She aimed it where the replacers crawled in through the ever widening hole they created.

     Bye bye wall, Abby thought.

The grenade that erupted from the rifle hit the wall right above the hole.

     BLAM!

It created an explosion like nothing seen on Earth before.

First, it exploded outward, blowing debris everywhere. Then, it was like a movie running backwards, in a way. The debris blew out, but then it stopped, in midair, to return to where it originally exploded from.

Not exactly, though. A bush didn't once again become a bush, a wall didn't once again become a wall, but all the debris did return to its original source. It made for a lump as big as a car motor and as dense as a diamond. It dropped with a thud to embed itself in the ground.

"Whoa," Abby muttered. That was cool. Then, yelling, "Alison! Cathy! Get in here! I just put a hole in the wall the size of a tanker truck!"

"They're coming in through the kitchen, too!" Cathy yelled back. "I can't leave! If I do, they'll..."

     "Okay! Okay!"

More replacers crawled in through the hole in the kitchen wall. Time to use the weapon she had in her other hand, a sub-machine gun.

And where was Alison? Why hadn't she responded after Abby'd called out her name?

     "Alison!"
