Tika stood,

The weapon she'd had strapped to her wrist, the one Delphi'd taken from her with a magnet directly over her head, now fell from Delphi, with the magnet, to where Tika, in one motion, snatched the weapon out of midair to reattach to her wrist while, at the same time, wrestling the magnet loose to pitch away from her to atomize with a laser.                                             She aimed a sonic blaster at the floor beneath her feet.

     BLAM!

It created a hole that reached all the way to The Cellars.

Tika looked down to make sure she saw tunnels below.

She then pointed the arm where the weapon was attached to her wrist in Delphi's direction.

She triggered it with her mind.

It emitted a projectile as small as a bullet.

A projectile that, once released, could not be stopped by anything.

     It'd been tired.

     Thousands of times.

Anyone who could find a way to stop that projectile from reaching its' intended target once it was fired would become instantly, insultingly wealthy.

But, so far, no one had.

The projectile pierced Delphi's tough, egri hide, then burrowed itself into the center of Delphi even as Tika dropped down the hole into The Cellars. She landed on her feet, then dashed for the nearest tunnel she saw even as the projectile bomb detonated.

     BA-ROOM!
