He stood at her side, and together they watched The Fours savage The Hive in the azure universe, and, for the moment, they did nothing, and, really, that should have been the strangest part of her dream or vision or whatever the hell it was Katy was having, because, in reality, Katy had never given much thought to the mighty Adam Forwarder. He was Seatrailia's most famous and highly regarded celebrity, if not the entire world's, but he'd never meant much to Katy herself. He'd always seemed way too much for her, too outsized a personality. If he wasn't saving the world from technology-laden super villains with his own futuristic technology, he was bedding every woman who crossed his path. And plenty crossed his path, too. Whole websites were devoted to women, thousands of them, extolling his charms and prowess. Katy never got it herself. He'd never seemed that irresistible to her.

     Now, though...

now, in this universe that contained every universe...

he was her husband. He was the bedrock of her existence, and she loved him more than she thought she could ever love another human being.

Although, now, she did, indeed, love someone else even more.

     She loved her daughter more.

She was Adam's daughter, as well.

Her name was Galatea, and she was The One.

The Azure had planned for her birth since the beginning of the Universe itself, since the beginning of time as we understand time, just as they planned for Katy herself to be able to give birth to Galatea.

Katy saw her then, saw her darting through the sky, The One, her beloved Galatea.

She had a look of grim determination on her face, Galatea did, and she headed right for the repulsiveness that was The Fours.

And Galatea was bathed in light, and not azure light, but pure, white light, the purest white light Katy had ever known. Galatea herself looked as if she were made of pure, white light, and it followed her like a trail, this pure light, as she flew through the sky at The Fours. The Fours reared up like an angry beast. There was to be a terrible battle. Thousands of black warriors, like furious insects, rose from the flesh of The Fours to hurl themselves at Galatea. Adam himself joined in the fray. He was attacked by hundreds of The Four's dark warriors, so many that, for several breathtaking moments, Katy couldn't see Adam's flailing form at all, so encased was he by those who sought to destroy him. But then...WHAM! POW! She saw him again as he flung them away from him. Adam was a warrior himself, perhaps the greatest hero his universe had ever known, and it would take more than hundreds of The Four's minions to bring him down.

Only problem: there were thousands of them.

They filled the sky until it seemed the universe was nothing but the spawn of The Fours. Still, they left Galatea alone. The Fours went after her personally. They met in mortal combat, the two of them, the shimmering pure white glow that was Katy's daughter versus the impenetrable blackness that was The Fours. The azure universe flashed with lightning both pure white and black as the void of death. In the time that Katy watched, the battle seemed to be going to The Fours. Katy's throat caught at the thought of that. If darkness won over light, then she would lose her husband. She'd lose her daughter. No! No!

     But then...

     They appeared.

     Thousands of starships.

All of them looking formidable, and all the same color.

     And that color was azure.

The Azure had arrived. The Azure Warriors.

And now the battle really engaged. The universe around Katy became about nothing but battle. Again, Katy's throat caught. Adam and Galatea simply had to win. Literally, everything was at stake. The past. The future. Inifini. Everything. She had to do something. She had to...to...
