Anne's limousine pulled up to the entrance of the Klawmaker estate. They announced themselves, and the door leading outside swung open. The limousine pulled ahead.

"You have no idea what this lunch is all about?" Gramps asked.

"I received a rather insistent invitation. That's it. I assume that it has something to do with the council but..."

"Have you talked to them? Have you talked to any of the other members of the council?"

"The remaining members? We've chosen to stay out of contact. Ever since Hashim's assassination..."

"You think Klawmaker was behind that?"

"Absolutely certain. Sun-Yi has gone completely underground. No one was a clue where he is."

You know exactly where he is, Gramps thought. Out loud, he said, "You should have brought an army with you."

"I don't need an army. I have you."

One of Klawmaker's staff members opened the door of Anne's limo for her so she could step out.

     "Ready?" she asked.

     Gramps nodded. Of course.
