     WHUMP!

It was like a giant fist smacked the side of Adama's sky palace. Both Adam and Adama were knocked off their feet.

Power jets lined Adam's uniform. He used them to rise to an upright position an inch off the floor.

     "Everything," Adama said.

"What? What did you just say?"

     "I..."

"What kind of firepower does this fortress have, anyway?"

"We're well fortified. There's no one in the universe we can't defend against."

     "Deploy them. Let's get strategic."

"I just did. That's what saying 'everything' was about. It was a voice command. It meant full out engagement."

A zing of excitement ran along Adam's spine.

Battle was what he was born for, bred for.

"Where are we exactly?" he asked. "What's all arrayed against us? Do we have any allies?"

     "No allies. It's just us."

     "Of course."

Adam ran back to the docking bay where Adama kept her sky chariot. "I'm going out there."

"I'd advise against that. Stay here with me. Let my army and this mega cruiser fight the battle for a while."

"Sorry. Not how I roll. I need a battle cruiser."

     "Think one up."

"Do I have to close my eyes?"

"However you want to do it."

The battle cruiser appeared in front of Adam before he really even had a chance to think about it. He climbed inside of it to give it a quick inspection. Oh yeah, this was exactly what he needed.

"Point me the way out of here," he said.

"But you have no idea where you're at, Adam. This universe..."

"I've been fighting for my life from the second I got here."

     "Not every second."

"Which leads me to my next topic. You're showing."

     "I..."

"Your tummy's swelling. Are you having my baby, Adama?"

A portal opened so that Adam could leave with his battle cruiser when he wanted.

"We're going to have a lot to talk about when I get back," Adam said.

Inside his battle cruiser, he rose into the sky.
