"We can't use the car anymore, either," Gramps said as the three of them went outside. "There's an amber alert."
"I thought that was only for an abducted kid."
"Not this time. Our license number's flashing on every TV in town."
"Wow, they really want you caught," Adam said to Trevor.
"They're saying you're out of your mind and that you have a gun," Gramps said. "Anyone sees you, they'll shoot you."
"So..."
"We've got to find another car," Adam replied with his gravely not-quite-human voice.
"We've got to get to Domitika," Gramps said. "It's Opening Day. We've got to get in there."
"Today?" Trevor asked. "We've got to get in there today?"
"As soon as possible, yes."
"But you've got to know Domitika's going to be the most crowded place on planet Earth today, right? It's Opening Day, and it's free to the public. There's going to be lines ten miles long at every entrance."
"Yes, you're right, it's free, but that means no one has to buy a ticket to get in. Those lines should dissolve quick once the doors open."
"Is it open now? What time is it?"
"Yeah, it should be open. It's after ten. I think that's when they're going to get started."
"So there shouldn't be any lines at all? We should be able to get right in?"
"Yeah."
"How far did you get into explaining to Trevor what we're attempting today and who we're attempting it with?"
"Absolutely nowhere. You came right back, remember?"
"There's a parking lot right over there," Gramps said.
"Good."
"Once on the lot, Gramps said, "Adam, you stay here with Trevor. I'm going to get a look around."
"Got it."
"What's he going to do?" Trevor asked.
"Find us another car."
"Steal us another car is what you mean, right?"
"We need a car. All of Infini needs us to..."
"All right, okay. I've heard that one before. Infini. I thought you were saying infinity, but you're not. You're saying Infini. What is Infini?"
"We're not stealing any car," Adam said. "We'll take note of who the real owner is. They'll be well compensated."
"How? You're not a multi-multi-multi billionaire anymore, remember?"
"Well, actually, I think I still kind of am."
"You're not even supposed to be alive anymore."
"I still have access to certain funds. Claudia..."
"Who's Claudia? Who are you talking about?"
"She's...you know what? You're talking too much. We're both talking too much. We'll draw attention to ourselves. Shut up."
"I've found a car," Gramps said.
Trevor and Adam made their way through the lot to where they'd heard Gramps voice.
"I'm here," Gramps said. "The car is right here."
It was a ten year old, gray Acura. Trevor heard Gramps work something metallic against the car lock. Then,
Click! The door unlocked.
"Get in," Gramps said. "Let's get out of here."
