"Okay," Gramps said. "Give me, in twenty-five words or less, please don't take all day, the reason you feel it's a good idea to join forces with an entity that has no other goal than the annihilation of Everything."

"Well..." Klawmaker indicated the battle uniform he wore. "Was I wearing this a year ago? Could I do this a year ago?"

POOF! POOF! POOF! Klawmaker disappeared and reappeared around the room before returning to his place near the dining table.

"You're willing to help destroy the entire multiverse in exchange for the ability to teleport?"

"Infini is dead no matter what. I just don't see any reason to cry about it. I mean, we've all got to go sometime, right? In the meantime, The Fours says it'll make me Master of Earth if I want, and that sounds pretty good to me. Anyway, you wanted to tell me about your friend Valtair. What was it about him that was so unique? I mean, besides the fact that he had an eggshell for a head?"

"We're leaving," Gramps said. "Come on, Anne. Let's go."

     "Gladly."

     "But you haven't even..."

     "Buh-bye."

Klawmaker got between them and the door. "I'd love to see you try, old man," he said.

Gramps turned to Anne. "Don't move. As I get into this, it's best I know exactly where you are."

     "Got it."

     Gramps turned to Kevin.

     "Let's dance," he said.
