Xerxes joined Francis so that, together, they went first through the glowing portal.

     Adam went next.

"This is so me," he said.

     Myanna stayed at his side.

"This is one party I would not miss," she said.

     Gramps followed behind them.

"My brain's scrambled, so much is rolling around inside of it right now," he said. "I need answers."

"Hold on," Skip said. "I'll go with you."

"I'm going," Anne said. "Frederick, would you take my arm?"

     "Of course."

     Trevor looked at Helen. "Well?"

Helen shrugged. "You think you could just go home and forget about everything after this?"

     "Not a chance."

     "Me, neither."

"Hey!" Cole yelped. "Where you go, I go."

"Do we want to be the only ones left behind?" Cathy asked her sister and mother.

"We could just turn and go," Abby said. "I see no reason why not."

"You do what you want," Alison said. "I'm going."

"I'll go with you," Cathy said.

"I guess we're all going," Abby said.

     So, that's how it went:

     First, Francis and Xerxes.

     Then, Adam and Myanna.

     Trevor, Cole and Helen followed.

     Gramps, Anne and Skip next.

Next, Abby and her two daughters.

"Want to close our eyes as we go through?" Malika asked.

"No, let's just do it," Niki replied.
