Egoneg.

Almost directly over Pomimi's head. Bigger than a house and floating like a cloud.

Pomimi had a real dilemma now. The Azure had given him a mission, a mission he'd told neither Trevor nor Niki about, and now that mission, conceivably, could be accomplished within the next quarter hour. But he also had an incompacitated fellow soldier at his feet. He hated to just leave her there, the Azure probably wouldn't arrive with their healers until the mission was accomplished, that's generally how they operated, but...

"I'm sorry, but I have to go," he said to Niki. "Please forgive me. Do something for me, would you please? Say, 'Bye'? Go invisible? I don't want you to be a target for just anyone who just happens to be passing by."

     "B-Bye," Niki managed to mutter.

And then Pomimi did something stupid, especially considering the fact that he was in training to be Azure. He gave away an advantage.

     He didn't reply to Niki.

He didn't say, "Bye". He didn't turn invisible.

It was the warrior in him. Mog did not hide from their enemy in any manner ever, but came at them head on and ready for battle every time. He wanted to look Egoneg in the eye so that Egoneg would know it was he, it was Pomimi, who utterly defeated him.

     Pomimi rose on his anti-gravs…

     …headed for Pomimi.
