"Everyone get as far away from the door as you can," Trevor said. "If Silveria tries something...or I should say when she tries something tricky, I want to be the only one who has to face it."

They huddled in a corner. The boy, sitting on Cathy's knee, fussed. She tried to cuddle him, but he slapped her away. His face turned beet red, he got so angry.

That is so not a good sign, Trevor thought.

I'd better get this over with quick.

He opened the door a crack.

     That's all it took.

Silveria swirled in as a breeze. Before Abby or any of her family could inhale a single, surprised breath, she was everywhere inside the cabin of the van.

And, before they could exhale that single breath, they were already outside of the van and inside of a floating silver cage.

Trevor got a floating silver cage all his own.

The van sank into the cloud a third time, and this time Silveria really did smash it to pieces.
