Niki snatched the weapon out of the hands of the soldier whose hip she'd pierced. 

     Some kind of rifle. 

     She aimed it at a soldier and pulled the trigger.

     A projectile made a hole in the man's chest the size of a fist. 

     More soldiers ran into the room. 

​     Niki fired two more shots, then dropped the rifle.

     She rose. 

     She went sideways on her anti-gravs, flattening against the ceiling, her hands holding her firm to a corner.

     Bullets filled the air where she'd just been, wounding other soldiers but none hitting her.

     This is a very small room for all this shit, she thought.
