Trevor dropped the gun and hit the ceiling just as bullets filled the air.

Soldiers dropped from the mere fact that so many bullets flew.

The door and window were both still blocked, though.

They heard a ruckus at the front door of the house, then in the hallway.

     Struggling. Cursing.

Soldiers left the room to join the fight that had apparently broken out in the hallway. What the...

Whatever. That left fewer soldiers in the room for Trevor and Niki to have to deal with.

     At the doorway now.

It was another whirlwind of blood and body parts.

Another invisible warrior, in other words.

And this warrior, whoever it was, fought half a dozen soldiers all at once.

     Damn.

Trevor and Niki went back to back, slicing wherever they went.

     "Where'd Cole go?" Trevor asked.

"Last time I saw him, he was headed for rear of the house," Niki replied.

     From the hallway, a voice:

"Get away from the window!" Adam Forwarder commanded. "I brought Gramps with me!"
