And how, exactly, did the child gain access to Weapons Sector in the first place?
Delphi focused on where a physical key had to be inserted into a physical lock.
He then focused on the key itself...
because it was not supposed to exist...
yet there it was.
An extra physical key to Weapons Sector.
Another impossibility.
Delphi closely examined the key.
It was an exact replica of his own.
Now where did an eleven year old child get an exact replica of a key that, until then, Delph felt only he himself could have produced?
He almost gave the command to have the child captured rather than obliterated to find out the answer to that riddle, as well as so many of the other riddles this child, through her actions and mere existence, asked.
He didn't though, of course.
No, he needed her dead. He didn't even request that her corpse be preserved.
Once at Weapons Sector's only exit/entrance, she should be eradicated within seconds, Delphi thought.
Good.
