Tindriss tore Adam Forwarder to pieces.

She'd planned on playing with him a little first, torture him a little, but once she got started...

She ripped him to pieces no bigger than a flea's foot, then continued until only a red mist remained, a mist that whirled away with the swirling snow.

     While overhead:

The four corners of the hovering shroud that was The Fours came together to speak with a single voice.

      A voice deep and booming.

The voice only had a single word to say, and that word was meant for no one but Tindriss.

     That word:

     "MOVE!"

     Tindriss hastened to comply.

This was, after all, the only entity in the multiverse more feared than her.

She was done with Adam Forwarder, anyway.

And, oh yes, it'd felt wonderful to tear him into bloody shreds, then beyond, like that. It was the closest thing to a sexual experience that she would ever get.

The shroud drifted over the spot where Adam had just been pulverized.

And then, from the shroud's center, an intense black beam dropped to slam into the ice.

For a full minute, that black beam slammed into the ice.

If that doesn't kill Adam Forwarder, Cathy thought, nothing ever will.
