     The guards that surrounded the blue blanket?

     They died instantly.

​     Their minds, not their brains but their minds, exploded.

     The sentient beings closest to the blast, whether separated by physical walls or on a completely different floor or whatever, felt it the hardest. 

     It was like being smacked by a sack of nightmares.

     They writhed on the ground, many of them, their eyes wide with horror, fighting physically something that existed only in their minds. 

     They screamed until their lungs gave out.

     Many died. 

     Everyone else recovered slowly, got to their feet slowly.

     Many of the hookers helped their johns to their feet.

     All of them, everyone, had the same question:

​     "WHAT IN THE HELL JUST HAPPENED?"
