Adam felt himself get slammed against a wall a second time. Dang, those robots could hit!

His first offensive move was to grab one of the robot's arms to hold on tight. The robot smashed him against all four of the walls as well as the floor. It waved its arms frantically to shake Adam loose. Didn't matter. Adam refused to let go. Finally, Adam was able to get his feet firmly planted against a corner of the room,

which gave him just the slightest bit of leverage. He used that leverage to get a grip on the metal arm to give it a good, hard twist. The robot went crazy then, smacking Adam all over the walls and the other robot and the floor and the ceiling because Adam had somehow managed to twist its arm until it just about came loose. Adam gave the arm another hard twist and this time managed to pull the arm completely out of its socket, along with thousands of wires and computer chips and an outflow of sparkling, crackling current. That current caught the second robot full in the torso, causing it to retreat. Adam then tore the robot's other arm out of its socket and used the crackling electric current from it to spray both robots with outflowing electricity. A couple seconds after that, and both robots spun wildly and made shrill, whining sounds. The robot arm that Adam held stopped belting out electric current. Adam threw it aside to jump between one of the robots and a wall. The whining, shrill sounds grew more intense with each passing second. Then,

     BAROOOM!

The robot that wasn't the one Adam hid behind exploded into thousands of fragments. The force of the explosion blew one whole wall of the room away, revealing the rest of Goldbody's complex beyond. The second robot acted like a shield for Adam, protecting him from most of the blast, and now that robot whined louder...louder...Time to get moving. Adam didn't bother to check himself for gashes and bruises. If he bled profusely from some wound, he'd find out soon enough. He'd gone deaf again. He wouldn't be able to communicate with Claudia at all, at least for a couple of minutes. He saw shrapnel and fire and torn walls everywhere. He found he couldn't move as fast as usual. The blast had really shaken him up. No time to find out how badly, though.

He had a world to save.
