"I want my daughter," Adam said. 

     "Come get her," Adam Adama replied. 

     Adam crossed the platform they stood on to do exactly that. 

     Before he could get to her, though, the platform split in half, Adam on one side, Adama on the other. 

     Between them appeared a rainbow of blinding light and searing red flame. 

     Adam ignored all of that. 

     He leaped from his half of the platform to get to Adama's.

     For several moments, or several eons, Adam drifted forward through nothingness, through red flame, through mind dissolving blasts of emotional and mental force. 

     None of that mattered. 

     Again, in Domitika, in the end, it all came down to a matter of personal will...

​     and Adam had plenty of that.
