The intense brightness subsided as time slowly passed. It was easy for Claudia's visual scanners to find Tindriss now. She rested flat on her back in the semi-liquified rubble of what was left of Adam Forwarder's compound. Still, she was whole. She was still fully intact. The missiles hadn't blown her to pieces the way they had everything else.

Katy hope, hope, hoped that Tindriss was dead, that Claudia had killed the supposedly invulnerable Coal Maiden. They'd certainly stunned her. But, nope, no such luck. Katy watched Tindriss twitch, then move. Covered in grime and dust, she got slowly to her feet. She walked, stumbling at first, towards the force field bubble at the center of the compound where Gramps and Katy were.

The scanner focused on her face then.

Her eyes blazed red and fierce.

She smiled like she knew she was being observed.

I'm coming, her malicious smile told Katy. I'm coming to kill you, and there's nothing you can do to stop me.

She went into the air then. She intended to fly the rest of the way to where Gramps and Katy were being safeguarded.

And that's when Claudia hit her.

Four of Claudia's blasters, several times stronger than Adam's sonic bazooka, rose from the rubble like writhing snakes.

     ZZZZZAAAP!

Each of these blaster had enough power to blow Godzilla himself back fifty feet, and they did have an effect. She hung stunned in open air for several seconds. All that radioactive energy those detonating missiles had generated, Claudia used it as fuel for her own weaponry. Claudia hit Tindriss from four different directions with those metal cable vipers and their sonic

     ZZZZZAAAAPs.

Two hundred times a minute those sonic weapons zzzzzapped Tindriss.

Adam watched the whole thing from inside his Stargod. "You have anything else?" he asked.

"Let's see what these sonic blasters do, first. I've hit her with enough juice to take out ten planets, but look at her. She's still hanging."

"How long can you keep them going?"

"The blasters? All day if I need to. She took out the Kodor homeworld all by herself. The Kodor technology had evolved to be as sophisticated as any in Infini. I've...Oh look."

Tindriss grabbed one of the writhing blasters to rip it free from the ground, then swung it like a lariat. She used it to shatter two of the other blasters, leaving only one. She then pulled the final blaster from the ground like an annoying weed.

"Man, that is one tough bitch," Adam had to admit.
