Gramps and Katy watched enraptured from their relatively safe location inside the inner force field. Katy felt a terror that froze her entire being, not just fear for herself,  but fear on behalf of her unborn daughter, on behalf of all of Infini itself.​   

     "You won't forget the reality shredder?" Gramps asked. "I mean, if things get a little...if she gets..." 

​     Like she could, in any manner, forget about it. It rested on her shoulder and was four times the size of her head. The trigger was slippery now from her sweat. 

     "D-Don't worry," she said. "I won't."
