"Did your entire family have a dream?" Niki asked.
"The great grandchildren, no," Gramps replied. "My daughter and three grandchildren, yes. We're meeting at our house."
"You know something, Gramps?" Niki said. "I think Trevor and I are going through the same thing. I knew you had a daughter and three grandchildren, too. What I'm not coming up with is your name. Every time I think of you, the only name I come up with is Gramps."
"My full name is Frederick Loyola Dawson. I've never thought of myself as a Frederick, though, or a 'Fred' or a 'Freddie' or whatever, so I rarely use that name. My daughter calls me Daddy and everyone else calls me Gramps except for one person, and she calls me by my first name."
"And what did you do all your life, Gramps? You've got to be retired, but what did you retire from?"
"I was in the military the first half of my life. The other half I spent as a teacher," Gramps said as he slowed the car down. "We're here."
