Gramps and Adam got out of the van.

Niki climbed into the passenger's seat, then flitted out the open door before Adam closed it again.

Gramps closed the door on the driver's side of the van. So far. So good.

They stood on cloud as firm as Earth.

     Silveria sauntered towards them.

"Stay right you are, no further," Gramps said.

"Don't be silly." Silveria indicated all that surrounded them. "I could have my entire being attack you, but you know me. I'm a lover, not a fighter."

     "That's not what I heard."

"Are you still with the Azure?"

No reply from either Gramps or Adam.

"I'd like to get in touch with them if I can," Silveria said. "But first..."

She looked past Gramps and Adam into the van behind them.

She looked through the window of the van...

to see Trevor staring right back at her.

     Their eyes locked.

To Trevor, it was like she ran right up to him to, like, jam her eyes into his.

And what Trevor saw in her eyes rocked him to his core...

because what he saw there was honesty.

What he saw there was humanity.

Most of all, what he saw there was love.

     Love for him.

"You come on out of there!" she hollered, even though she stood a hundred yards away with Gramps and Adam. "We need to talk."

"Your business is with us," Adam said.

"This planet's about to be torn apart piece by piece. I believe I can stop that, but I sure would love to talk to Trevor first."
